The 27th Annual Caper, benefiting Family & Children’s Place, will be held following the Louisville men’s basketball game on Dec. 14. Almost 700 are expected to be in attendance at the Caper, which features entertainment, an auction, and an impressive variety of food served up by local restaurants. The University of Louisville Basketball team often appears at this all-ages event.
The Caper takes place at the Kentucky International Convention Center, located at 221 South Fourth Street, Louisville, Kentucky. Casual clothing is appropriate for the event.
Along with enjoying the festivities, this event raises critical funds for a respected nonprofit organization that provides services to a vulnerable population in the Louisville area. The Family & Children’s Place‘s vision is “freeing children from abuse, neglect and violence” and serves almost 6,500 children and families each year.

War Horse is coming to the Kentucky Center Stage November 19th – 24th. The play is set in World War I and tells the story of Joey, a horse, who is conscripted by the British cavalry and sent off to fight in France. Albert, Joey’s former owner, sets off to the front lines to rescue his horse. The play features horse puppets created by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company.
