The popularity of romantic comedy mainstays like “When Harry Met Sally,” “Sleepless in Seattle,” and “You’ve Got Mail” helped Ms. Ephron amass an estate valued at over $27 million.
The details of where she invested her assets became public information after her executors filed the Last Will and Testament. Along with real estate located in Beverly Hills, East Hampton and Manhattan, at least $10 million was invested into stock, including such high-tech startups like Google, Amazon and Apple. The 27th Annual Caper, benefiting Family & Children’s Place, will be held following the Louisville men’s basketball game on Dec. 14. Almost 700 are expected to be in attendance at the Caper, which features entertainment, an auction, and an impressive variety of food served up by local restaurants. The University of Louisville Basketball team often appears at this all-ages event.

War Horse is coming to the Kentucky Center Stage November 19th – 24th. The play is set in World War I and tells the story of Joey, a horse, who is conscripted by the British cavalry and sent off to fight in France. Albert, Joey’s former owner, sets off to the front lines to rescue his horse. The play features horse puppets created by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company.
