Joan Rivers at the Brown Theater: “A Little Off Center”

The ubiquitous comedian, fashion critic, host, and documentary subject Joan Rivers will be making a one-night appearance in Louisville. If you are a fan of her raucous, sometimes brash, always outrageous humor, you won’t want to miss this feisty 70-something in action.

Nothing less than the Brown Theater in Louisville will do for the megastar running under the tour’s  title “A Little Off Center.” The website warns patrons that the show is for “Mature” audience members. One wonders if the designation is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the age of some fans or the fact that Rivers can be counted on to not act the traditional role of her distinguished age. The site goes further with a description of Rivers as the “Emmy-award-winning television talk-show host, Tony-award-nominated actress, bestselling author, playwright, screenwriter, film director, columnist, lecturer, syndicated radio host, jewelry designer, cosmetic-company entrepreneur, and red-carpet fashion laureate.” When Rivers makes an appearance and performs, she means business!

The “Little Off Center” tour will be held on Friday, March 21st at 8:00 p.m., and tickets can be purchased in the $35 to $65 range, both online at the Kentucky Center website as well as over the phone. The Box Office may be reached at 1-800-775-7777.
