Romeo and Juliette at the Opera

The final performances of the opera Roméo et Juliette at the Brown Theatre will take place on February 14 and 16. The opera was adapted from Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliette by French composer Charles Gounod. Juliette is played by soprano Ava Pine. The role of Romeo is played by tenor Vale Rideout, and baritone Jesse Blumberg takes on the role of Mercutio.

The February 14 performance starts at 8:00 p.m., and the February 16 performance starts at 2 p.m. The show runs approximately two hours. Tickets for Roméo et Juliette start at $31. A preview of the opera begins one hour before each performance in the Brown Theatre Rehearsal Hall, and an “Opera Talk Back” with the conductor is available after every Sunday performance.
