The Kentucky Derby is just several weeks away, and all throughout April, you can get in the derby spirit at a number of exciting events. My family and I are sure to be in attendance at many of these events—the Kentucky Derby is one of our favorite parts of living in Louisville.
Later this month, you might find my family and I in attendance at the Taste of Derby festival, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. This much-loved festival offers over 65 delicious dishes from more than 65 of Louisville’s best restaurants and beverage establishments.
Along with great appetizers, desserts, beverages, and other treats, the festival will feature a wine tasting, a bourbon tasting, a Bloody Mary Contest, and a silent auction for guests to enjoy.
The Taste of Derby Festival is open to everyone and will take place at Louisville Slugger Field on Wednesday, April 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $80, $50 of which is tax deductible. All proceeds benefit the Dare to Care Food Bank, which collects, purchases, and distributes food to those in need in the Louisville and Kentuckiana area.
Find out more about this festival and the food bank by calling the Dare to Care Food Bank at 502-966-3821 or by visiting the festival website.
