The 27th Annual Caper, benefiting Family & Children’s Place, will be held following the Louisville men’s basketball game on Dec. 14. Almost 700 are expected to be in attendance at the Caper, which features entertainment, an auction, and an impressive variety of food served up by local restaurants. The University of Louisville Basketball team often appears at this all-ages event.
The Caper takes place at the Kentucky International Convention Center, located at 221 South Fourth Street, Louisville, Kentucky. Casual clothing is appropriate for the event.
Along with enjoying the festivities, this event raises critical funds for a respected nonprofit organization that provides services to a vulnerable population in the Louisville area. The Family & Children’s Place‘s vision is “freeing children from abuse, neglect and violence” and serves almost 6,500 children and families each year. The organization works to prevent child abuse from happening, stop abuse that has already occurred, and provide recovery services for victims of abuse. They provide 445 first-time and expectant families with training and assistance.
Individual tickets to the Caper cost $20 for adults. Children 12 and under are admitted free, but must be accompanied by an adult. For more information about the Caper or to purchase tickets, see the event website.
